Meet My Best Friend

There are only a handful of people in my life who I know will be there for me no matter what, and Brooke is one of them. The two of us met in third grade and spent our time together on the playground, talking about my Bobbie Jack flip-flops and Brooke's love of cheese. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to go through those awkward middle school years with me!

(hi Brooke, please don't kill me for this throwback photo haha)

We've come a long way, I mean just compare these first two images! We figured out how to dress and incorporate our own styles, we've learned the magic of a few highlights and the many uses of a hair straightener. Now we're learning how to be adults together!

Over the last two years Brooke and I have had to learn how to maintain our friendship while living in two separate states, Georgia and Tennessee. This isn't very difficult considering that every time we meet up it's like we never left each other.

A few weeks ago Brooke came to visit me in Tennessee and I'm so happy I decided to capture the day on camera!

We began our day by heading to Nashville and ended up on 12th South. It was one of the last comfortably warm days of the year. We slowly made our way down the street, picking out the cutest pumpkins and enjoying each other's company.

After the pumpkins, we hit up my favorite part of 12th South... Amelia's Flower Truck. Because Brooke is the sweetest human on earth she personally picked out a bouquet of flowers and gave them to me as a late birthday present. :')

And of course, we had to have an impromptu photoshoot!! Whenever we're together Brooke is ALWAYS laughing and I LOVE it. These photos make me smile every time I see them because they perfectly sum up the happiness and joy that she spreads around her!

Our next stop was Five Daughters Bakery (because who can pass up doughnuts???) and then a cute blue wall for yet another lil photoshoot!

Finally, to end our perfect little day we went to Centennial Park. The two of us sat on a blanket together, eating the doughnuts we had just purchased and enjoyed the evening air. I loved being able to capture our day together, encapsulating this time in our friendship. I can't wait to look back at these photos years from now and reminisce on one of many little adventures.
