3 AMAZING Wedding Venues In and Around Nashville, Tennessee!
SO, you said "yes" to your love and now you're diving into the world of wedding planning. How exciting!!! And also.. intimidating. But it doesn't have to be!
There are so many beautiful wedding venues around Nashville and I've had the pleasure of shooting at a number of them. Each venue is unique and offers a completely different experience than the last. But these three I've listed here are some of my favorites! Whether it's the vintage feel, unique interior, or historical aspects to the property, each of these venues have something amazing to offer!
Number one on this list HAS to be Scarritt Bennett Center. Placed in the heart of Nashville, everything about this place blew me away when I arrived for the first time. Walking on the grounds was like stepping back in time as I took in all the historic architecture.
To be in the city, there is plenty of greenery and outdoor space, perfect for wedding party photos, first looks, or even an outdoor ceremony!
Scarritt Bennett Center also has gorgeous Social Rooms, perfect for the bride and groom to use for getting ready. As a photographer, this is one of my favorite areas. With so much natural light coming in through the big windows, it's amazing for those detail shots, dress shots, and photos of the bridal party!
Another highlight of this venue was the Wightman Chapel. I couldn't get over how grand it was! The alter, giant stained glass windows, and beautiful architecture all go together to make this an amazing ceremony space.
The outside space at this venue is incredible! The buildings offer so much character and a beautiful backdrop for photos. There's so much space to walk around and find a variety of picturesque locations on the grounds.
The SECOND venue that I just have to mention is Cedarmont Farm. When I first drove up to this property I knew it was going to be a gorgeous wedding. This beautiful patch of land is located in Franklin, Tennessee, close to Nashville but far enough away to give it those country side feels.
The mansion on the property is the perfect place for the bride and her girls to get ready. It is also the perfect backdrop for some dreamy photos! The mansion itself is full of history and has been family-owned and run for over 20 years.
With three barns on the property plus the historic mansion and plenty of open fields, Cedarmont Farm is an amazing venue for any bride + groom. There is plenty of space to hold the ceremony AND reception on the property, which saves guests from having to travel to two separate locations.
The THIRD and final venue I want to mention is Riverwood Mansion. This picturesque mansion gives me all the southern belle vibes! It is one of Nashville’s oldest and largest homes, built in the late 1790’s.
This venue is the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony with its lush greenery and immaculate landscape. But in case it does rain, Riverwood has a backup rain plan for an indoors ceremony, which helps relieve so much stress when you can’t rely on the weather!
With so much space inside the historic mansion, the bride and groom each have separate areas of the house available to get ready in during the day. Not only that, but the property offers a great deal of different backdrops for countless photos.
Riverwood also has an in-house catering company ready to serve your guests during the reception in their covered pavilion. This area has plenty of space for a grand party!
I hope that gives you a glimpse at all the amazing wedding locations that Nashville has to offer! I loved photographing each of these weddings and having the opportunity to work with new couples while exploring different venues.
